I'm really pissed with my mighty mouse. Every now and then, I try to turn it on but the green LED doesn't come on. Also, my computer (running Mac OS X or windows XP) will lose connection with the mouse and i'll have turn the mouse off and back on. Is this normal behavior?

Is it a bluetooth mouse? What model is it?

I don't think that's normal. I have a bluetooth might mouse and it doesn't have the problems you have. It does though, stop right clicking after a while meaning I have to switch it off then back on. But apart from that, everything else seems to be fine.
