I just purchased a samsung lcd tv/computer monitor. It has one pixel that is green. Does that mean its stuck or dead?

Is it worth getting a replacement? Will more dead pixels show up if I dont get a replacement?

    Thanks

If the pixel is always green then it's stuck. A replacement monitor may have more dead pixels or none. It's your call if you want to take a chance. You might be able to repair the dead pixel with some color cycling software (sorry, I never tried such software and I have no links).

well i just got it from bestbuy yesterday so I can get as many replacements as I want. I also noticed that it makes a very noticable high pitched noise all the time. I will just go tommorow and get another one. Thanks

If you can get as many replacements as you want then go for it and exchange the monitor.

I just did and it works fine now but I think my dorms cable is bad because I cant get cable on my tv. I have the regular coaxial cable but the monitor says theres no cable signal. Any ideas?

Don't you have to go through a cable box or a VCR do get a decoded cable signal?
