I just got my new Plantronics .Audio 510 USB headset today, and installation went pretty smoothly...however, it is absurdly loud. I have the Windows volume set at 5%, and the headset's own volume control is on the first notch, I'm not sure how many there are. And it's still very loud. I first plugged these in with Windows volume at 100%, which is what my old headphones used, and nearly fell out of my chair at the explosion of noise.
Does anyone have experience with this headset or something similar? What can I do to reduce the volume output to these things, so I can have more control directly via the in-line control?

Since its a usb version it probably has its own volume control in the control panel, or you may need to use the software that maybe came with.
I had a software for my old plantroics usb headset and its volume control was separate from windows. -
There is no software or anything; the package just had the headset and instructions.
