I just got a new Dell Inspiron 14 and want a docking station that has speakers, charging capability and capability for seperate monitor/keyboard/mouse. Get sort of lost with all of the options.
Please let me know your recommendations.
Thanks.

Since the Inspiron 14 does not have a specific dock port (ie. Dell Latitudes with there E dock port), the only docks available to you will be via USB. With it's limited bandwidth, it will limited the user experience with an external monitor. Such a dock do not exist, at least for you notebook.

So what does limited experience mean? Did I screw up on this purchase since it doesn't have a VGA cable?

You said you want a docking station that enables you to connect to all the devices, correct? But you are are going to connect everything through a single USB port (which is bound to happen), things will get alittle slow. So my advice is that, forget about an all in one docking solution. Because there is not such thing for your notebook.

It does not charge and as people say in that review, video still lags with some laptops. Hard to say if that's compatibility or driver issue, or if the dock is just that bad.
Please recommend a docking station for Dell Inspiron
