Well, just made this comparison, since I saw many compared the Mamba to Lachesis as to the original deal, the DA.

    Pictures:

    Mamba

    Lachesis

Comparison note, notice the camel area of the 3 mice, DA and Mamba much towards the front, Lachesis to the back.

My conclusion, it's more similar to the DA. Gonna get 1! (I hate Lachesis) :D

your topic is already concluding your question, why bother asking?

mamba = deathadder(shape) + lachesis(dedicated dpi button) + wireless and better laser sensor

what is it like? a new mouse

Wow, 130 bucks retail. Is that a new high price for a mouse? Then again I guess the G9 and similar mice retail for 99 bucks.

Onboard memory is good. It's annoying having to install software for all your macros to work.

Being able to work as a wired mouse is good as well.

    lol @ 200 in. / second "acceleration" That's 16.66ft per second movement :p

I've owned the Deathadder and the Lachesis and came away extremely unimpressed. I feel that their construction is cheap and flimsy and the overall erognomics to be uncomfortable. I also think that the price Razer charges for these is much too expensive with respect to what you are getting in return.

Personally, I recently switched from a Logitech MX518 to a G9, and the difference is like night and day. When compared to the Lachesis or Deathadder, the G9 takes the win in nearly every category that matters, be it performance, ergonomics, accessories, or software.

Why doesn't anyone like the Copperhead? Best looking Razer mouse imo.

It looks like the DeathAdder But I'm wondering is 130 bucks worth it ?
5000 dpi in G9x and 3200dpt in my G9 are more than enough for me! Who needs 5600DPI ?!?
Wired or Wireless isn't a selling point to a gamming mouse, I think!

I guess that depends on what kind of gamer you are. Personally, I can detect lag in most wireless gaming mice, and I also hate the fact that in the middle of a firefight, the batteries in my mouse can crap out on me at any time. No, I like wired rodents: continous power and no lag; the last thing I need to be thinking about before fragging someone is if my mouse is going to die on me or not.

I got both copperhead and death adder and just my opinion, i much prefer death adder, it feels smoother than the copperhead despite having less dpi but also copperhead is made for right and left handed people and death adder just for right hand. I feel very happy with my death adder, I have a logitech (its just a Navigator) and its nice just doesnt have the same kind of feeling that death adder has. I went to the shop and played with a G5 and G9 and I just couldnt feel comfortable with them. I was standing there for like 40 minutes moving this mouse around... the other people were looking at me funny :p

I don't like the Deathadder's shape and prefer the Copperhead's slimmer design. And the lighted scales on the side ;)

I love my DeathAdder. I'll soon be replacing it with the updated 3,500 DPI version, though.
