    Hi all,

I've got an asus U6sg and i'm looking for a port replicator, preferably an expresscard one as I hear the faster data transfer rate is desirable. I've seen the offerings from Belkin ( http://www.belkin.com/highspeeddock/) and Targus ( http://www.targus.com/us/product_details.asp?sku=ACP60US) however, they both seem to have been on the market for a couple of years now. I assume that these devices work universally with any laptop?

Also, neither have hdmi outputs. Even though I have a HDMI output on the U6 i'd prefer just to have to only connect the one expresscard cable for all my peripherals.

Does anyone know of any newer replicators with HDMI or have any experience with the aforementioned replicators.

    Thanks.

If your notebook already has a HDMI connector then use this connector. No ExpressCard/USB port replicator will work as good with HDMI as the HDMI of your internal graphics card. So don't search for a nonexistent port replicator which has HDMI, because your PC already has HDMI which is thousand times better.
ExpressCard solutions which have a DVI or HDMI out just don't have any additional ports.

And I think you can connect the rest via USB. So all you need is a good USB hub.

One USB cable, one HDMI cable, that's just two cables, I think that's still ok.

And if that's still too much cable for you then sell your notebook and buy a better notebook which also has a docking station.
