In doing your research in the library, one almost always have to use the copying machine. As a student, researcher or professional, it would be economical to have your own portable copying machine...A scanner with your laptop

The characteristics of a good scanner would have to be:
    1. Portable -fits in the laptop bag so you can carry it always
    2. Good color scanning -can scan colored pictures which you can use on your powerpoint presentations
    3. Good black/white scanning- so you can convert it to text using software
    4. Self-powered - preferably powered by USB so you can use it anywhere, anytime in the absence of the limiting powercords
    5. Durable -since it would be as mobile as the laptop, it should resist the normal rigor of travelling esp... the glass of the flatbed.

Are there scanners with this characteristics present on the market?

Having such a product with surely benefit any student or professional ...
