I am looking for a way to extend the run-time of my laptop with a battery package of some sort. I see two options:

    1) get an extra battery

    2) get a PC version of the HyperMac

i would prefer doing number 2. however, i'm not aware of any such product that isn't $300. If there is such one, i want it to be JUST like the HyperMac; I do NOT want to have to plug my laptop charger into the device. there such be a single cable between the battery and my lappy(exchangable tips are fine).

for #1, my concern is that I need to keep the battery fully charged for weeks at a time and the difficulty in making sure both are charged(after using my backup battery).
