    Hello :hi2: , I'm looking for Portable Slim External DVD/Blu-Ray Drive slim slot load , any recommendation?

    dvd.jpg I don't really like this kind of drive , they break easily for some reason.

    and I seem to break more slotload ones than tray style. you WILL scratch more disks in the slot load as well

    That looks great but i forgot to mention price range , $170 seem a bit expansive isn't it?

    its also a BD writer, but does work well. very few slotload BD units I know of

    You could jut buy a slot load load drive, say the Panasonic UJ-265 for example, and an external case, then slap them together. That's what I did for my external Blu-ray, though it is not a slot load drive. I would agree with KC, slot load discs scratch more and they're more noisy too, at least that has been my experience with them.

    I second Zaz's recommendation. Panasonic and Pioneer optical drives have always come thru for me.

    FWIW, I've never had a tray load (this drive)vvvvv

    fail on me, whereas I've had multiple slot-load drives, blu-ray slot load drives, fail on me. I dunno what it is about the slot-loads but they don't like to last very long. Plus, slot-load drives don't come with that little pin hole you can stick a paper clip into to eject the disc when it gets stuck in there. If a disc gets stuck in a slot-load drive, you need to jam a piece of cardboard in the slot to try and force the eject mechanism to engage.
