My setup could make it on there :D

I just need to add lights behind the monitors and I would be all set.

So what do a laptop screen + laptop keyboard + laptop touchpad + laptop speaker call?

    A laptop

Even though most people do not use them in there lap but rather a desk, but if you called it a desktop that would be wrong.

I think more people may keep the desktop on the floor... So maybe its time to change laptops to desktops and desktops to floortops? :D

I see you're prepared to put your laptop down at any moment if it starts acting rabid or coming on to you. o_O

And is that an ottoman under the desk? If you've discovered a way to ergonomically use an ottoman under a computer desk, do share!

No - wrong thinking. Not "My desk is too big".

Think "I need more stuff to put on it"

but i hate more stuff. :(

@Fat_Dragon: it's all about finding an ottoman that'll fit under your desk. i can't live without mine. it sure beats the heck out of putting my feet on my ProMedia's subwoofer. :p the ottoman actually sits more under the desk. i just pulled it out a bit to let u guys know it was there.

I have an E7 and i quite like it. However, i use it to bypass the dac of one of my laptops as it is rather average. Didn't notice that much difference between the E7 and a good integrated sound chip..

I'm finally starting to feel like my desk it to big, but mainly because it literally takes up 1/3 of my room. I built it for a much larger room.

And yes, more ATH-M50's. I usually just hook them up to my Marantz though, it does a great job with them.

Second consecutive setup containing a deadly weapon... I'm gonna go out on a limb here and suppose there must be a lot of republicans on these forums :p

I might get around to a picture of my setup when I get home tonight, but it's not really all that thought-out, just a wireframe shelf on a corner desk for a makeshift standing desk.

I just got a new, smaller desk this past weekend. I was moving my system/desk from the old room to the dining area. I had to move my computer desk out of the old room because the room is now becoming a nursery. Anyway, here are some pics of my old setup and my new setup.

    Old Setup:

I have a bunch of extra HDDs (back left) connected for backups and such through a USB HUB under the desk. Trying to keep things neat. I hope to replace all of them with a single 3TB External soon for backups. I also have a DVD burner as well as a Blu-ray burner behind the system on the right. Also an all in one card reader with a few extra USB ports which are handy for thumb drives.

Really impressive!! Since u focus on the laptop i see that ur gravitating everything towards it. The black goes well with the blue lights coming out of everything.

Thanks! Yea I like the blue lights. Oddly enough, I never planned that. I didn't even know half that stuff had the blue LEDs until afterward but somehow worked out. The three HDDs, DVD Burner, and card reader all have blue lights, as well as my system, which most are turned off in the pic :p

To contribute, here's an older setup of mine. The 13-inch MBP was replaced by a 15-inch MBP, but I still have that T61 ThinkPad lying around.

Maybe I'll throw an updated version of my setup on here, with possible included handgun :p !

Here are my two work/play areas. First one is my living room where I keep my M18x 95% of the time. Second is my bedroom where I just bought the desk last week. That's why the area is so empty at the moment, I'll update it as things get bought and come in the mail.

The speakers are Yamaha...NSF700 series. You must be talking about my mains and than the heights. I have the heights to add more sound stage and add another diminsion when watching movies or games. When it rains or a helicopter flies over head the speakers really help to enhance that.

man...i have been really contemplating as of late. i kind of want to try a triple-monitor setup, but i don't know if it'll just be a big waste of money. right now, i have my laptop hooked up to a 24" 3D monitor and i'm really enjoying it. the setup will ultimately be for my desktop that i will be building. my display choices, as of right now, are either: A) high end 32"-40" LED LCD 1080p 3D TV or B) (3) 20"-24" 1080p monitors in a triple-monitor setup.

one of my main gripes about multi-monitors is the line where the monitors join together. that break in the image really bugs me for some reason and there's nothing u can do about it unless i dish out $5,000 - $10,000+ for one of those much crazier displays.

I'll probably post my command center on here tomorrow/later. I still have some cleaning to do in my room. I know in the next month or so, I'm going to rent a storage unit for all of my extra crap, so a big change will be coming. As for all of the flat panel TVs that I see, I have yet been able to find a flat panel TV that can beat the quality of picture that I get from my 32" Sony WEGA Trinitron. Yeah, it's a beast of a TV and the picture may not be as sharp as a flat panel unit, but the color reproduction and depth of blacks is amazing. Definitely a much better viewing experience than any of the flat panel TVs that I've used or owned.

Oh, I've heard that the picture quality on the Pioneer Kuro was amazing. Apparently, nothing have ever been able to match it. Too bad they aren't made anymore. I believe the high price of them had something to do with it. While on the subject of the Kuro, I remember seeing one brought in for recycling at my local Best Buy one day. I don't know if it worked or anything, but if it did, the person who got rid of it was an idiot.
