Does anyone know of an adapter to allow powering a Lenovo P70 (230w, but with a funky connector) from a Dell PA9E for the 17" Precisions (240w, with a 7mm barrel connector)? The electrical specs are very close; the Dell's voltage is 19.5V while the Lenovo's is 20V, while the PA9E power supply can push a bit more current.
I was certainly aware that the power supplies aren't compatible, but the P70 wound up meeting my needs better, and I have 3 PA9E's lying around.
I've seen some tip converters sold on eBay, but nothing that appears to be the exact one I'm looking for.

Even if you have a converter, I'd worry about safety of the device. -
But why? Is this done for overclocking the P70 or simply to utilize your existing PA9E as spares so you don't have to carry the brick around?
The former won't work as you'll get limited by the mobo/BIOS first. The later might work if you're willing to do some cutting. Do you mind buying two converters each with one right plug and cut them to get the combo? -
It's simply to utilize the existing bricks as extras, since the PA9E delivers enough power at within 5% of the voltage. One brick at home, one at the office, and one spare. Not trying to overclock the P70.
(If I want to do that, it would make more sense to find a mobo with an E3-1575Mv5.) -
Put another way, so I don't have to buy another 1 or 2 power bricks -- so saving money is really the answer.
