Anyone know what power adapter I need to use for my laptop when flying with Emirates?

    I have an ASUS V1sb1

    I noticed excaliberpc have this: ASUS Notebook Accessory Car Charger 90-120W ( For A7, A8, F3, F8, F9, G1, G2, U3, V1, V2, V6, VX2, W2, W3, W7 Notebooks )

and gentech give you the option of choosing a Air Plane/Car Adapter: $69 with your order

    thanks

A good reference for anyone traveling this site gives you details of where and what type of power outlets are available on what planes and in what seats. it also tells you seats to avoid and seats to get. Since you didn't say which plane you are flying on (aka 737-800, Airbus A320, etc)
    Here is both:
A330 has only power outlets in the Business and First Class sections. You would probably need the ExcaliberPC adapter as the Car and Car/Airplane adapaters are the same but it specifically lists your model (Asus V1)
If you are in a Boeing 777 (Some only check the plane type first) then:
Business and First class have outlets that do not need a special adapter you can use whatever adapter you plug into the house.

For Economy it depends which 777 you are flying out on some have outlets in
select seats. Once again it depends which 777 you are on as some apparently do not have outlets at all. At least as far as I can tell.
