So i was wondering if the power core that connect from electrical outlet to the adapter matter for laptop? like the power core is from hp but the adapter is for dell. I just want the line to be longer but the dell's one is so short. my laptop is dell btw.
    Thank

As long as it's a standard 3 prong interface, then no, it doesn't matter.

If you live in a country where the plugs contain fuses, you should also make sure that it is of the correct rating.

Wont make a difference unless you have a situation like what ssssssssss suggested. I got one from China because I didn't have an EU one for when I moved. Worked fine.
