    There was a backpack a while back with a huge solar cell sewn on the outside.

    This one definitely looks heavier.

    Good idea. It would seem to me though that the more weight you carry and the more energetically (yeah, let's go with that) you move, the more power you generate. I wonder how much weight it needs minimally to overcome the resistance of the generator.

    Last year, there was a test called the AST (australian scaling test) that students who wanted to go to uni had to do (but I think only NSW and ACT students).

    Anyway, for the test there was a question that asked us to explain how a backpack like that worked.

    I didn't know such a thing actually existed.

    I guess it's good for backpackers :D

    He mentioned marines, so I'm guessing this is meant to carry a lot of gear.

    I'm guessing the backpack also provided far more power than a panel of solar cells sewn on. Especially at night.

    its based on kinetic energy so..yes , it generates more power , in exchange of the user losing the energy because additional weight
