Not really sure if this is the right place to ask about this, but I am getting ready to go to college and need to buy a printer. Everyone seems so knowledgable here so i figured I would ask. I am looking to get an inkjet printer that prints a decent ppm for under $100. I like HPs but there are so many models to choose from and I am kinda lost. I was leaning towards the 6940...

Anyway, any advice would be great.

    Thanks, justin

Do you print pictures or anything like that? Give us a bit more information on what you do.

I have the hp 1315xi all-in-one. I highly recommend an all-in -one printer because it is so convenient. Personally, there were many many times when I had to copy stuff. I don't know about your school but at my school we have to pay fifteen cents for every page we copy on a school copier.

I'm not really very concerned with printing pictures. I think text will be its primary job. I was thinking about an all-in-one, as it would be really nice to copy/scan things, but I am on a budget and don't know which ones are both quality and fairly inexpensive. Any ideas or experiences?
