I have a Canon BJC50 portable printer. The cable is identified as: Connector type: 1 x 25-pin D-sub (DB-25) male, 1 x 36-pin mini-Centronics male. Is there a usb adapter to go from the mini-pin to usb? Where do I find such a thing?
My new Toshiba laptop does not have a parallel port and the Canon printer connector looks different than all I've seen photos of. If I can't find this then I'll need to find a female to female converter so I can hook the end of the printer cable to the end of the parallel to usb adapter I have for another printer. Where do I find that? Looked at local Best Buy.. guys there had no ideas.

Yes, check newegg. I know that they do sell it.

I've seen some in Fry's, however if you don't have one near you I'd look on Newegg like compsavy said.

I have an old HP laser printer that uses a Parallel port too, and when I got a new notebook without the Parallel port I picked up one of these and it's worked perfectly.
Printer cable/usb adapter?
