I'm trying to set up a home network connection so that i can print to the desktop printer from my laptop. The desktop is xp but the laptop is vista if that has any bearing on it.
I keep getting a message saying "the server print spooler service is now running".
    Any ideas?

Please dumb it down for me. I'm not that technologically inclined.

I think under your "services" list, you should enable your print spooler. I think under the vista OS, you click on the orb, then click "run" and type in "service" and press enter. Scroll until you find "server print spooler" and enable it.
