I am looking to buy some black and white laser printers or all-in-one.
I just don't want to buy cheap one this time because it won't last long.
Any recommendations?
There are just so many of them, I just don't know where to start.

Avoiding cheap printers like Brother/Epson? To be honest, I don't know that much about the higher end printers...(no experience with them) CNET does have a lot of reviews on the matter.

Going on 16 years with my HP LaserJet 4...

I have not bought or spec's a mono-laser in YEARS so I am nto sure what solid printers are out there in the category.
But, I can personally recommend the Oki C3200n (it might be the C3400n now???) Color "Laser" printer. More cost up front but really a solid printer that is a nice step up form mono lasers and color inkjets. I print a LOT with this thing and it has held up well in the year I have been using it...
And unless you really NEED scanning I never have been a fan of all-in-one printers. The printer side always seemed underpowered/underperforming. -
HP is the best. I've had 2 myself (gave one away) and they are excellent for the money. The one I have is the Photosmart C3180. 22pm black/20ppm color on economy mode. Also the software they have is pretty decent on XP (overlaps with stuff on Vista, so not needed as much).

Thirded on the HPs.
Still the best laser printers i've ever worked on. (and by work i mean service, been fixing pc's/printers for 10+ years.) -

I agree that HP printers have excellent durability and reliability (however, a couple of years ago we had problems on a project with the sensors in the duplex unit of the A3 printer). However, my laser printer at home is a Samsung ML-2250N. The key selling point for me was a built-in network port and a cost of less than $200. However, I don't use it that much. I've had it about a year and it is still on its first cartridge.

If you're looking for a really cheap black-and-white laser printer, Samsung has a model which sells for $50 after rebate. I forget the specific model number though.
However, I agree with the others, HP indeed makes the best printers.
