    desktop ones dont work for notebooks do they
    or is there something you can add to the end so that itll fit?

    Sure they do as long as you have the correct port. Won't be very portable though.

    Most newer printers are compatible with USB so they will work with notebooks/desktops. The Parallel Port is kind of going the way of the dodo and isnt found on all new computers like it used to. If you want to plug a printer with a parallel port into a computer with no parallel port you can use a adapter like this
