Okay this just started occuring after about 6 months of use - it is randomly cutting in and out. The blue light inside the mouse dies, I ehar the windows "hardware disconnected" sound then after about a second the "hardware detected" sound goes and my mouse lights up again. It is in the same port it has always been in, a usb 2.0 port in the back of my computer. I tried it in all the other ports and it does the same thing. I have not installed any driver updates since day one but since this problem just started happening today I fail to see how a driver problem could be the cause. The USB cable itself appears in great condition with no dirt or damage visible except for maybe a few cosmetic scratches on the connector itself but nothing capable of causing this.
Has anyone else had this problem

Does it do that on another computer?

Don't know but all my other usb devices are working perfectly

the PnP Windows Device driver might be the culprit...

Yeah now it no longer works at all for more than like 5 seconds
UPDATE: Just installed fresh drivers, no response from mouse at all. I also noticed that by fiddling with the usb connector when it's plugged in I can get power to the mouse for a split second. I think that might be the problem. See my mouse isn't even getting power so it can't be recognized Is there anything I can do to try and fix this? There's no dir in the connector so I can't see how that would be the problem.
I might just go out and buy a new mouse anyways... -
I had posted a hotfix to fix that problem...

I had something similar problems with an older Diamondback. It turned out to be a pinched wire break caused by using Razer's neoprene mouse bag. Stuffing the whole mouse + wire in that small case caused the mouse cord to get repeatedly pinched at the base of the mouse, eventually breaking the internal wire without any marks on the outside cable housing. Razer replaced it under warranty once I sent in the pictures of the mouse showing no external damage.
