I thought this device would be really popular among NBR viewers.

There are a lot of threads asking about what sound card to get or what dac to get, and also what headphones to get. While this one device is not going to be the solution to all those questions it will fit some peoples needs perfectly and possibly exceed them in many ways.

What your looking at here is a full blown DAC so you can get rid of that crummy soundcard if you have sound quality issues due to cheap onboard, but instead of feeding into a direct line out for a amp or having a built in headphone amplifier what this devices does is wireless send that audio to a receiver via SKAA technology.

This means you can use your laptop, netbook, tablet, or phones but instead of being restricted to the crummy built in speakers now you can make use of all those great speakers you already have in your home or office.

I think this generation makes good use of this since all of us have mobile devices and almost always use them for multi-media of some sort.

I didn't mention in the review but it should be easy enough to understand that this would work fine connected directly to a pair of powered monitors letting you turn your device into its own little portable media player.

Also if you need to hook up to a device that does not use RCA like say a line-in of a secondary computer (I used this setup to test for live streaming) a RCA --> 3.5mm stereo jack cable works wonders.

For only $0.65 each when QTY 50+ purchased - 6ft 3.5mm Stereo Plug/2 RCA Plug Cable - Black | Basic 3.5mm to RCA Audio Cables

So I am glad to add this gadget to my tool bag of goodies and hope you enjoy the review!

Very low latency, none that I can tell. NuForce states its fast enough to be used for video & games though I did not conduct any form of latency testing since I cant see any situation where you would have video hardwired and not bother hard wiring the audio as well (hdmi does both)
