    Hello,

Been thinking of getting an Asus 1215B but am worried about whether heavy textbooks or ending up with my back against the wall on crowded public transit could crush the LCD. I have a laptop bag from my previous 15.4 inch machine, but I'm not sure padding alone will suffice.

It's not made out of tissue paper. A laptop bag with decent padding should be enough. Maybe you could get a smaller sleeve too, so it's not bouncing around inside your bag.
