I have a e-machine E725 laptop that has been very acceptable over the 5 years I have owned it, its only for work and travel that I use it which isn't often, the oem battery finally died a respectable death.

is there any aftermarket battery manufactures that stand above others for replacement batteries, I just tried LB1 high performance battery that didn't make it 30 days and no longer charges, laptop works fine when plugged in, but many times I need it on just battery source, please suggest a battery seller u have had good luck with.

At this point in the lifecycle of the battery, it does not make sense to pay the premium for an OEM battery. Buy a 3rd party battery.

Reliable vendors for these types of batteries are Monoprice and Anker. All 3rd party batteries you buy will be imitation Chinese knock-off batteries. At least with Anker and Monoprice, you get US-based sales office, US-based shipping, and a warranty / return policy in case something goes wrong with your purchase.

I know its high but if it will charge and maintain, last more than 2 years it could be worth it, the laptop is used mostly for diagnostic work with onboard computers, fuel injection, cylinder balance testing, its part of my toolbox.

anyone had any dealing with Max Capacity Batteries or Safe batteries, as an OEM isn't available from my searching.

Never dealt with them (Max Capacity or Safe batteries).

In either case, if you're forced to buy from a 3rd, party, at least buy off of Amazon.com. That way, you get some kind of replacement / return policy in case you get a defective or faulty product.

I did a quick search on Amazon for "emachines E725 battery), and got plenty of hits for batteries $10-$11 with Prime shipping. If I were in your shoes, that's what I would do.
