Hello, I am currently using a Ratpadz gamepad for my mouse and I've noticed that over time the plastic on my mouse feet is starting to wear off... When I first bought the pad it was a solid and rough surface so that it can increase my accuracy while I game. However, I now notice that parts of the pad have gotten "smooth". I suspect that parts of the plastic has been scraped and merged with the rough surface. I was wondering if anyone can confirm this is true or if it is happening to them as well. I really like this gamepad but if it really wears down my mouse then I might consider not using this mouse pad anymore. I just ordered a Logitech G5 mouse off the net and I don't want its feet to be worn out before its first year of use.

All gaming pads and surfaces are hard on mice feet. In the "old days" before laser mice the mouse ball would wear out and pull junk up into the mouse that made it jump and stick: even when gamers followed the "How to Wash Mouse Balls" cleaning guide religiously they could go through 2-3 mice a year. Now it's the "feet" that wear out.

Replacement feet cost $8 - $20 and can be found online. I generally keep an extra set around because my mice are always losing just one pad so having the extras in an envelope in a drawer is convenient.

Thanks for the reply. What site did you go to for replacement feet? can you recommend a few?
