You need to make sure your Bluetooth profiles include A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) in order to support any of the two headphones. The cheap ones are the first gen, and as far as I have heard they have good sound quality, but the headband breaks really easily (again, what I have read). The other ones seem to be better built.

I don't know which bluetooth stack it comes with, but usually it is possible to make it support A2DP in case it doesn't by installing another BT stack.

I cannot tell you for sure if it works or not, and since nobody else is trying to help, I would contact HP asking if the Bluetooth module of the dv6000t supports A2DP.

I think the Freepulse comes with its own BT transmitter, so even if you don't have BT in the first place, you can still use it. But does anyone know the quality of that headphone? Or can recommend another wireless headphone that's that portable?

I would be shocked if the dv6000 BT didn't support A2DP. That's pretty old technology.

Just search for "bluetooth HEADSET" instead of for headphones and you will actually find a fair number of them...if you add the word "stereo" to the search you'll weed out lots of the cell phone ear pieces.

bump, anyone have their own personal preferances?

turns out i just received a bluetooth enabled phone, so the bluetooth sets listed so far sounds like they will work out great, i just wanted to see more diversity!
