How long will the lamps die out? And can I pick up a replacement lamp at my local best buy store or circuit city, or do I have to go to their official website and buy it from them?

Interesting you should ask as mine just died a few days ago!

I purchased my Toshiba 50hm66 a year and two weeks ago and put less than 1800 hours on the lamp.

I have to get the lamp from Toshiba or one of their parts retailers (perhaps best buy has them, but I didn't ask).

Since I'm just over the warranty period, I'm trying to get them to replace the bulb for me anyways as 1800 hours is half of what I was told these things would last and spending $250 a year isn't exactly my cup of tea!
