Hello to everybody. I am looking for a backpack for my Asus G1s, since the bag that came with it proves to be "a bit small" for my needs. After much searching, I came upon the Slappa Velocity Matrix bag, which seems to be quite a piece:

There were some mixed opinions about this backpack, but I found out that this is a revised model, built better than the models with negative reviews etc. The problem is that here in Germany, I can't seem to find it anywhere, so I need to order it online. So I wanted to ask some questions:

Has anyone bought this particular bag, and if so, are you pleased with it? It's pretty hard to decide for something that you can't see or touch.
Also, does anyone know if and where this bag is sold in Germany?
And last, but not least, can anyone (who has seen this bag) recomend anything similar? I've heard of Targus, but they didn't convice me compared to the Slappa one (again only seen online, apparently we have a laptop backpack deficit in Germany or something...). Any feedback will be welcome.

i have had two of these bags. Sent the second one back in August of last year. I don't know how they have changed them but the two that I had both fell apart, literally. They weren't designed to take the weight of a 17" laptop.

Wow, that sounds...worse than I expected. I should remind that I 've read such reviews for the Slappa Velocity model, not the Slappa Velocity Matrix (two different bags). I appreciate the link, but since you have had a personal experience, can you perhaps recommend an alternative?

I hated the Spyder. Unfortunately, I'm somewhat lazy, but I should have made them pay for my laptop. They had a defective line (okay, the whole original spyder line was defective). Basically, if your laptop was thinner than about 1.5" it would slip between the padding in the laptop section and would not be protected. Which... mine did and hit a small rock which caused a small dent.

i like the alienware bags. I know i haven't got an alien laptop but ther bags are good and they offer good protection.
