Does anyone have any reviews or comments on the technology? I would like to know because I am planning on purchasing one next month.

I personally have a Kingston Data Traveler 512MB U3, and I can say that it works GREAT!! It is not Mac compatible, although it works just fine with Windows. I have only used it with XP though. Programs take a bit longer to launch from the drive than a hard drive, but that is to be expected. For me, thunderbird loads in about 10-15 seconds, and Firefox about 20. I can say there is an extensive library of programs, shareware and freeware that are available for these as well. Overall, I would give it an 8.5 out of 10, 10 being the best. I think it could be a little quicker, but that is just me. :) It is plug and play for me on XP. Just a quick fact, the first time you plug it into a computer it has never been in before, it will take quite a while to load for the first time. After that, it takes about 3 sec to get to my password screen, and about 2 after that to be able to access my programs. I hope you found this helpful!! :D
