Well I depart to Iraq in 2 weeks and I need to get a case for my nc8430 notebook.

I have decided on the Pelican 1490cc1 and was ready to buy it when I read in the description that the internal dimensions appear too small to fit the nc8430.

    NC 8430 - 14.1 x 10.2 x 1.1 in

    1490cc1 - 14.0 x 10.8 x 2.5 in

only a .1 difference. I have emailed pelican but have gotten no response. Does anyone here know if the nc8430 will fit into the 1490cc1?

    Thanks

    Shane

This might be a little too late but yes, your laptop will fit. The CC1 divider is a fairly soft rubber and will give at least an extra 1/4" more than what is advertised.
