I can't believe how hard it is to find one of these, everyone has cables but not plain adapters. Anyway, I notice that this product says " Not for use with bus powered Firewire peripherals."

Can anyone tell me if this has any impact on whether I'd be able to charge my iPod through it? My iPod only charges by firewire (not USB) and my firewire cable is 6 pin (laptop port is 4 pin).

If anyone knows of a better place to find one of these that would be really helpful too!

    Thanks.

UPDATE: I found a review for a similar adapter on newegg.com and the person said he couldn't charge his ipod through the adapter. This stinks!
