My laptop does not have bluetooth but I would like to get bluetooth on it. I have an old usb bluetooth adapter that came with a mouse. I was wondering if there was any way that I can use that bluetooth adapter but not for the mouse. I have a wireless bluetooth speaker and i was wondering if I can use it for that. The only thing I am thinking is that I need software for it and have no idea what to do about that.

The bluetooth adapter came with the mouse? I've never heard of that before. Post a photo of the adapter and mouse just for us to make sure they're bluetooth.

But to answer your question, if the adapter is in fact bluetooth, and you got it before 2004, there's a good chance it doesn't support bluetooth stereo audio (A2DP).

If you have a USB Bluetooth then adds it in your laptop. You can use it for internet connection from your mobile to PC, but I've never heard of that wireless Bluetooth speaker can run with it.
