I'm seriously considering getting a Timbuk2 classic messenger bag. I have a couple of questions if there's anyone reading who has one...

I'm looking at the small model, and would be using it to carry my Vaio Z2 (a 13" with similar dimensions to a Macbook Air), along with various other stuff to get through the day.

I'm not sure whether to get the laptop bag or the pure messenger bag. I generally like to keep my laptop in a sleeve, for example so I can take it out of the bag and put it in the seat pocket on a plane. I'm considering a sleeve case. So my first question is, has anyone used a sleeve case (or similar) with a Timbuk2 messenger bag? Does it stay reasonably seated and stable? Is it possible to stick it in the slot compartment in the main bag, or is that too thin in practice?

If I do go with the laptop version, I'm concerned that the bag appears not to be rigid, but the laptop is locked into place. It seems possible that this could put a lot of stress on the laptop itself as the bag flexes during use. Is this a problem in practice?

And does anyone have any feedback on the Timbuk2 classic messenger in general?

    Thanks folks!
