Specifically those with the Dreadful Embarrassment....

After looking at the wonderful bag maker link thread here, I have settled on the Dreadful Embarrassment bag. I really think it looks great. My only concern is notebook protection. Specifically, the stress to the notebook against your side/back.

I would prefer a messenger type bag like this but I know the back (against your body) is not rigid. Since the case is not rigid and tends to conform to your body, does this put undue stress on the notebook?

I'm not worried about the middle pocket against the screen. The most I would ever have in there is the occasion book and/or small bluetooth keyboard.

Right now I carry a briefcase...but since I carry by the handle, there is never any stress on the notebook. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    NightSky,
You have to love the messenger bags ability to haul everything around. I have an older Crumpler and use it when I know I need to carry a ton of stuff. When I have the laptop in there I always have it in a sleeve in case anything else in the messenger leaks. I'd suggest looking at getting a rigid sleeve like the booq Vyper.
