    hey everybody
i've a couple of questions on notebooks:

    1. are there certain specifications or things i need to know about notebooks and external hard drives? i'm planning to get a 3.5 inch internal and an enclosure but im not sure if it'll work on my notebook (probably will be a thinkpad t61). i ask this because my brother did this and the enclosure kept zapping out the usb drive (he has an hp and the enclosure was a nexstar 3, if that helps).
oh yea, any recs on enclosures and hard drives will be appreciated.
i was thinking about the following:
    enclosure: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817145656
    and
    hard drive:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822144701

    2. is the thinkpad t61 compatible with sdhc cards?

    3. does anybody know any good notebook cases that allow me to simply open the case and have the notebook strapped on so as to allow me to use it right away (or so that i wont need to take it out and everything)?

    4. oh yea, how would i know if the notebook (unless notebooks dont use esata, in which case please disregard the query) will be esata compatible? do i need to buy one of those esata ports?

thanks for reading and all help will be appreciated.

note: sorry about the bother, i don't have much time to research. i should be ordering today (since im going off to univeristy on thursday). please help, thanks!

It should not be a problem. They work well with linux too.
