My friend is selling me his lachesis that he bought a few months ago, but only used twice because his G5 started working again.
He is selling it to me cheaper than a new DeathAdder/G5 that I was thinking of buying![]()

So today he gave it to me for the weekend so I can try it out for myself before buying it.
Anyway, I bought it home, downloaded the latest driver/app from the Razer site and started using it.
I really like the mouse, and it suits my semi-claw grip well, but I have some questions.
1) For some reason the Razer software won't let me use the left side mouse buttons as mouse buttons 6/7 which I can use in game
Is there any way to enable these or do I have to program them to a key?
2) Whenever I press the buttons that are mapped to DPI up and down, I get no conformation at all that it has changed
Is there anyway to get conformation?
Also, when I change the DPI and go into the Razer config app, under DPI switcher the same DPI always stays highlighted
Do you guys have a solution, because these are the only things standing between me and a great mouse at a killer price![]()

Thanks

I'm pretty sure that for the mouse buttons on the side they have to be supported by the game. I don't think you can bind them to a key press.
I do know that the mouse provides no confirmation for DPI changes. You just have to know what setting your on.
If your looking for more feedback from your mouse check out the G9 by Logitech. It has a nice set of LEDs to show what setting your on. -
Thanks for the info
I thought there would be some way to get conformation of the DPI change
Anyone else know any way of doing this?
I don't like the shape of the G9 too much -
go to device manager...search theres something name HID mouse(or something )
probably your lachesis driver is not properly configured...drivers must be manually installed..
also , if you use different usb ports everytime you plug in the razer mouse you may have to redo the process above -
If the Lachesis runs like my DeathAdder, switching DPI causes the scroll wheel and logo lights to flash. The number of flashes corresponds to the profile number. For instance, if I hit the button, the lights flash twice to indicate I'm now on my second profile, and so on.
As for the mouse 6 and 7 buttons, not many games support that many mouse buttons. Many don't even support 4 and 5. -
The Razer logo constantly pulsates on this, and I haven't noticed and flashes when switching the DPI.
I don't have profiles, I have just set a number of DPIs under one profile I think.
This is what it looks like, can someone help me fix this so I get some sort of feedback when I change DPI
-
At the very bottom there, you have space for 5 profiles. It seems you're just switching DPI on one profile.
-
So what would you suggest?
If I make 5 profiles, one with each DPI setting, will I get a pop-up if I change the DPI change buttons to Profile switch? -
Not an on-screen pop-up, but your logo and scroll wheel lights should flash to indicate which profile you're switching to.
-
actually he should get an on-screen pop-up. Notice the box checked that say "Enable On Screen Display/ Show profile name on profile change"
-
My DeathAdder software has no such option.
