    I'm planning on buying a G5/G7mouse + G15 keyboard and I was wondering..

Can you use one software (Logitech software) for all Logitech G-Series? Like both G15 + G5?

    Thank you

The G15 uses different software for the macro capabilities of the keyboard. So at minimum you'd be using that and the Set Point software for the mouse.

not answering your question, if your gaming(like i think you'll be) get the G5, cordless gaming mice really suck.

I just went to the Logitech site and for the mouse there's SetPoint (which I use with my G5) and for the keyboard there's the keyboard software, the LCD manager and Keyboard Profiler (which I use with my G15). I don't see any software that is used for both the mouse and the keyboard together, nor am I currently using any. My software is all up to date, too. I have no clue what the guy in the video is talking about. To be honest he probrably is not that experienced with the mouse, or mice in general, considering the fact that he says the G5 is the only mouse with adjustable weights.

Just curious though, is there a reason why you want one program to control the two different components? Lower processes, I guess?

Well it's more easier to manage.

When he said that.. I was like "WOAH ILL GET THAT INSTEAD OF Saitek E2"

but yeah Thank you Rhyick. What do you think of the G15? good? or would you recommend Saitek E2?

Well.. the E2 to me is just a backlit keyboard while the G15 is not only backlit but has the G keys to program macros into, USB ports (which are honestly sometimes quite handy), and, of course, the LCD screen. The prices are fairly comparable, so I think the G15 is a clear winner. The LCD is just amazingly useful. There are many, many mods that you can download which are extremely nifty. For example, take a look at this winamp mod here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJxEIbKAa5s
The flashing is a bit excessive (can be turned off), but the playlist and volume capabilities are just amazing useful.

I'm going for the G-set then. Thanks again Rhyick.
