Just bought the Creative T20 speakers, I am wondering, is it best to leave them on all the time, or turn them off when not in use? I remember that with the old computer towers of yore, you'd press the power button and it would work like a light switch; it would completely kill the power.

Now, the power button on the tower tells the computer to shut down safely, and there is still a trickle of power in the computer unless you unplug it completely.

I remember reading somewhere that they changed tower design to this because flicking the power completely on and off a lot damaged the circuits in the motherboard or something like that. I am wondering if this affects speakers as well, I want these speakers to last a while :)

Turn them off, it wont hurt them. It wont hurt to leave them on ether but it may lower the life of the product (the amp is usually the first thing to go) the deciding factor for me would be the power draw I have a tester for that but I have no idea if they use power when idle or not.
