I am modifying my setup and trying to track down something to make it work better.

I need to track down an RCA switch similar to what you maybe used as a kid to hook up your dvd player and video game consoles and such to your TV so that you press a button to choose the input and can use multiple devices on that one input on your TV.

Except I sort of need the exact opposite.

I have one output (My DAC RCA PRE OUT) that I feed to my home theater system amp & my powered desktop monitors, and then at the monitors it splits again to feed into my mixing console.
It is fine right now except I need to turn off my monitors when I want to use the theater system.

Soon here for a project I need yet another feed from the DAC to another amp to power an audio transducer and I think it would be a bad idea to add any more splitters. Plus I would only need it when using the monitors.

I could do with a 1 in 2 out RCA and all I need is L/R audio, but a 1in 3out may be ideal.

Can anybody track down a good one for a fair cost?

Or are you looking for 2-3 simultaneous outs (i.e. a distribution amp)?

There are certainly more elegant ways to tackle the above, though it would mean using stuff other than your favourite shill-source :p - and it would depend on budget.

e.g. I use an Audient Centro (this one's out of production since they've now moved to surround monitoring, but there are many similar devices on the market) on one of my setups, which I assume would be a more sophisticated version of what you want.

Some soundcards, like the RME UFX's I normally use, can also use internal patching to provide audio switching / distribution on demand, and maybe do the job of your mixing console as well given enough inputs.

At the 'basic podcaster budget' end I'm not sure if the available-soon Behringer Firepower's are a direct rip-off of the last-gen RME's, but I'd imagine they could probably act in the same manner, and they're a tenth of the price of the UFX.

At the most most basic end, a patchbay might also help in signal organisation in your setup.
