I'm looking for a new mouse for my laptop. I was thinking about getting the wireless presenter 8000 mouse from microsoft.

Is it true that bluetooth mice are slower than corded or RF mice and also that they have poorer battery life?

I'm a gamer and a designer and if a mouse isn't 100% responsive and accurate I WILL notice it. (I'm really picky in that regard ;) )

I dont know whether BT mice are slower than RF mice, but yes, BT mice tend to consume battery life a lot quicker than RF mice.

that may be true for the current crop of bluetooth mouse. some newer model, however, such as microsoft bluetooth notebook mouse 5000, has superb battery life.

the presenter 8000 has a lot of features built-in (laser pointer, remote control button). i suspect the battery life is affected by these, to some extend.
