Has anyone had any experience with a Monster Cable RMA? Under the warranty information, it states that you must have a receipt AND proof of purchase (UPC label) in order to obtain an RMA. The problem is I only have the receipt from Amazon and like most people, I usually throw out the packaging - hence the UPC label is missing. Has anyone successfully obtained an RMA without the proof of purchase?

Wait... people actually pay for Monster Cable?

Unfortunately, I think you may be out of luck on the RMA. Part of how they keep their costs down is by making those kinds of requirements on returns. They can still advertise an amazing warranty, you just have to jump through 15 impossible hoops to make good on it.

If you're talking an HDMI or DVI or some other digital cable, do yourself a favor and just go buy a new one at monoprice.com

I don't think I'd ever buy an HDMI/DVI cables from Monster Cable :p

The item I have is actually an FM transmitter for my iphone. Retail price is $60, but Amazon had a sale last year for around $20 and it was the cheapest, non-generic FM transmitter I could find at the time.

Don't bother about Monster Cable, they're overrrated and overpriced harshly.
Benchmark shown that the differences between Normal HDMI and Monster Cable HDMI is very very small(micro differences) which Human eyes can't notice at all. Only machines that used to benchmark can notice.

Where did HDMI come from? Monster Cable builds loads of different over priced products. But I do concur, Get something besides Monster for a fraction of the price and it will be the same quality, in analog sound and digital video.

For $20? I don't think that's worth the hassle. The build quality is obviously not stellar if yours has already broken.

    Just a couple other options:

I've had the unit for about 10 months, so it wasn't too bad. The unit still looks brand new, just that the cable must be twisted in a certain position in order to get a proper signal from my iphone to the transmitter.

Anywho, those transmitters you listed doesn't look bad. Though I'm a bit skeptical on the audio quality based on some of the customer reviews. Anyways, I'll give Monster a call Monday and see what they can offer and at the meantime look for a decent FM transmitter online.

Yeah. See if they'll do it, but don't spend a lot of time. $20 isn't worth you pulling your hair out. Trust me... I'm to a point where I wish mine wasn't gone ;)

That's likely the fault of FM radio itself, not the product.
