    I purchased a BT-600 mouse to use on my SONY VAIO and I think the unit is defective.

    Takes a while for my laptop to recognize it and after the mouse is recognized I can go about my business for a bit before it either freezes or disconnects on its own completely. The Forward/Back buttons are reversed and the mapping software is made for the MAC OS only. Also when i scroll down...the page actually goes upwards, and when I scroll upwards it again moves upwards!

    I'm hoping to hear from some BT-600 owners using Windows platform. I'm semi-hoping that it's just my mouse because it is actually a very sturdy mouse compared to the Logitech V270 which felt too flimsy and small.

    Any comments would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    I use a BT-600 mouse with a Dell 640m with Windows MCE 2005 rollup 2. I switch the mouse on while the laptop is booting up and find that the mouse can move the cursor before the laptop has finished drawing the screen icons, let alone starting up AV and populating the taskbar. It does this every time without fail and never loses its connection until I switch the mouse off again.

    It has never frozen (or shown any signs of delay compared to usb wireless mice I have), and when I scroll up or down the laptop behaves as with any other mouse by scrolling up and down.

    However, yes the side buttons appear reversed compared to all my other mice - the front-most button pages back in IE or Firefox, and the rearwards button pages forward. I have not worked out any way of reversing this behaviour as I have not loaded any mice control software, and the default control software with the laptop is Synaptic for controlling the touchpad.

    Sorry to hear you are having problems, I hope that you can get a response and a fix or replacement from Radtech.

    Apart from the front side button being very stiff to click I am very happy with mine. Its great using built-in bluetooth and not messing with usb sticks every time I want to use the laptop.

    Thanks so much for this reply ajp. The seller who sold the mouse to me assures me that he had no problems using it with his Apple, and I believe him. I will talk to Radtech and see if I can exchange it; it's a very nice mouse...solid build and grip. Thank you.

    OK, it looks like these people are done, but I'm replying for anyone else to have this problem.

    I have the same problem with my mouse. The back and forward buttons are reversed, but other than that, it works wonderfully.

    On RadTech's website, they have a link to a program called X-Mouse. I tried it, and while it can fix this problem, for me, it seemed to impair the funtionality of the buttons. I had to press the back or forward buttons several times before they worked, sometimes I had to press the forward button before the back button would work, sometimes I would press it once and it would go several pages back, etc.

    So, I disabled the X-Mouse program, and while the buttons are reversed, they work fine.

    So, I found a program called AutoHotkey ( http://www.autohotkey.com/download/).
    It allows you to remap any mouse or keyboard buttons to perform the functions of other buttons, other functions, whatever. If you go into the script file it provides you with and add the following code:
    Code:
    XButton1::XButton2
    XButton2::XButton1
    it reverses the two buttons, with no impairment whatsoever. You'll probably want to comment out the two example scripts and add the program in your startup folder, but it works just fine after you do that.

    I'm not sure why RadTech made a mouse with reversed back and forward buttons, but this fixes it just fine.

    I also am having problems with my bt600. When I use the scroll wheel the window goes up and down and kind of bounces.

    Bizarre.

    Any suggestions?
