Pretty much title. Which of these is better? I don't know anything about gaming mice and there aren't reviews that compare these two directly. This would be my first gaming mice technically.

So to the discussion, is Razer Abyssus any better than the Gigabyte one? Will it last longer from wear and tear?

I can't find much information on that GM6800, but from what I can tell, it's limited to 1,600 DPI, which makes me believe it's a pretty old model.

The Abyssus is newer, with 3,500 DPI in a good quality optical sensor, but it's only got three buttons, no thumb buttons. If you get a Razer mouse, I recommend the DeathAdder. Still quite inexpensive, but it's contoured instead of ambidextrous, and has two thumb buttons. Great sensor and very comfortable.

The optical sensor on the Abyssus is much better than the laser sensor on the Gigabyte mouse.

The Gigabyte is a optical mouse...I don't think its really a gaming mouse though by the specs regardless of what they want to call it.
