I just purchased it today, and it's a pretty good keyboard except for the fact that I have to press 2 buttons to lower/raise/mute the sound.

Theres an FN key that works just like it does on a laptop, but its on teh right side of the keyboard, so I need to take my hands off QWERT to do anything :(
Has anyone found a way to have the FN key locked so you only have to press F1/F2/F3 instead of FN+F1/F2/F3?

You can use something like autohotkey and program those buttons in the unshifted state to be generic media keys.

The keyboards I am looking at do not have media keys on them so I will be taking this route if I decide I need them.

FN key doesnt generate any scan codes so programs wont pick it up. Its only a modifier key for other buttons.

For the autohotkey thing I mentioned FN is not used or needed, you will "reprogram" the F keys to be media keys.

Depending on how creative you are with the script you can have it toggle on/off with a key combo or something.
