Hello, can anyone give me personal experiences with Razer Carcharias?

I own it. I can make an in-depth review for you when I have the time. Basically, I think it's a good headset for its price. Sound quality is really good. It doesn't hurt my head and ears even if I wear it for prolonged periods.

I think that would do =D . You know, im kinda a fan of Razer, i own the Mamba and Vespula atm, and next i want a Headset, even tho, many people still tend to say that razer makes overpriced , that they stuff sucks etc etc.
I bought some Skullcandies headphones because some friend told me "they where really good" and i was SO disapointed because the sound was lower than average than very cheap materials for its construction where used.
Also, my laptop has 3 USB port, so a USB headset its not in discusion here...
Also, your "good headset for its price " sums it up, its a good investment -
I've own them and used them extensively for all purposes before I sold them last month. for me it was really great for gaming and really clear, being the first time I played a proper game COD MWII and Black Ops, I was lost in the game I found that I heard things from soft footsteps to ruffling and it was just amazing. Ive also had the chance to use them for audio editing and I hadnt encountered any problems whatsoever. I used the headphone for over 5-6+ hours at time and I had no discomort whatsoever from wearing or or any kind of strain on my head. Since the pads arent leather it pads dont warm up and get uncomfortable as some others out there can, and they covered my whole ear and I had great isolation from everyone around me but there was some sound leakage, not a great deal but still enough that people real close would notice if you had the volume at 100%. I've tried all types of music on there, since Im no audiophile I cant tell you exact pro's and cons according to music listening but for me they were more than fine and surprised me since I expected lower quality but it really amazing me, whether it was classical music or dupstep or RnB/Rap I heard everything quite clearly, and the bass wasnt overbearing, it was like the perfect combination but it definitely delivered a punch with a few EQ tweaks here and there.
The mic was clear in-game and on voice chats such as skype and video calls. the unique cable design is really great and I think it can hold up for a really really long time and in no way was I every worries of any type of cable wear.
Couple of the reasons why I sold them off was that I need headphones that offer almost complete isolation and from sound leakage, I'm a basshead so I wanted something that had 10x the bass, and lastly the cable was a bit too long for me, since I just use the laptop on my lap or on a table right in front of me most of the time and it got in the way from time to time.
Thanks about all I can say about my experiences, Good luck with your purchase! -
I've owned the Carcharias for about 2 years now.
For starters, it's extremely comfortable. One of the lightest headsets I've ever used. It doesn't squeeze your head like some other sets, and the adjustability is great, since it uses a smooth sliding mechanism rather than notches.
Sound quality is great. In games and movies, I can hear every little detail, and a lot of times in games I can hear things that I otherwise would have missed with cheap speakers or headphones. For example, I am rarely caught off-guard by people using Ninja Pro in MW2, because I can hear the very faint footsteps they make, and they don't expect me to be facing the door waiting for them.Music sounds good with these as well. Overall it's got a very balanced sound; no frequencies really dominate. They might be lacking a little in the low end if you listen to a lot of electronic or hip-hop with extreme bass, but then again, that's not what these are made for.
The microphone is good and clear, at least according to everyone I talk to in my Mumble server and in various game voice chats.
Hope ya find this helpful.
