Hey all,
Well my trusty Microsoft optical intellimouse has died and looking to buy a new gaming mouse since I game a ton.
Really liking this
Its 5 buttons but from all the pictures I only see four, just wondering if anyone who has or has seen one can tell me if the 5th is the wheel in the middle being clickable like on my old mouse.
Thnx all

Yes. The click wheel is a button.

I'm about 98% sure that you can click the scroll mouse in on the Deathadder.

I'll conform what the 2 members above me have said. Yes, the scroll wheel on the Deathadder doubles as a button. My friends has one and I've used it before.
Make sure you check out the Logitech G5 too. -

Yeah I have the latest G5 and have loved every minute.
It just simply does everything I want it to and more, and does it well.

Thnx a ton guys! I will have to check out the G5 as well!

i think all current mouse on the market feature a clickable scroll wheel.
i definitely recommend the logitech G5 too. it is the best mouse i ever use for windows. logitech is more refine in both hardware and software. there is the version 2 of the mouse which is the blue cracked earth design. it is not just a cosmetic change. it feature the forward button, and a more refine scroll wheel with tilt function. -
Wow man Death Adder got 24 reviews on newegg 83% good.
But the G5 got 364 reviews! Most 4 or 5 stars, seems popular. Guess i'll get the G5, seems the way to go!
Thnx again all, hopefully i'll have it by the end of next week -
i hate the shape of that mouse, it isn't comfortable at all. I prefer the Microsoft sidewinder. I'll review it when i get mine.

I like my G5 over my Deathadder. I'm using the G5 now
Deathadder is in a drawer.

My current favorite mouse is the Ikari Steel Series Laser:

I own a LOT of current high end laser mice (razers, logitechs, saitek, etc), and this one is the most comfortable I've used to date. I can game for hours without any hand fatigue with this unit. -
Hmm never seen that one before, but it looks as if it would be very comfortable!

Some like it better than the G5 but personally I am still all for the G5. Weight control FTW baby!

It came today! OMG it's awesome!
Haven't messed with the weights yet but will in a few.
It fits my hand perfectly
+1 rep for shoelace -
I had a G5 and my dog bit the cord off the mouse so I had to buy a new one. I bought the deathadder to try it out. I figured if I didn't like it, I would return it.
I actually prefer the deathadder to the G5. The buttons are the same, but it's missing the extra dpi buttons. In my opinion, the smooth sides, textured top, and high quality mouse feet really make this mouse just a tad better than the G5.
If you have the extra money and you're in the market, I'd suggest you try it out. If you don't like it, just return it. For me, it's more comfortable and I'd recommend it above the G5. -
Of course mouse preference is personal choice but I thought the Deathadder mouse feet were really cheap feeling. They're tiny little things. It seems I'm not the only one though. G5 mouse feet are a lot better to me.

"The feet on the DeathAdder leaves much to be desired. They are VERY thin and it feels like the mouse body is scratching on the surface of my desk."

No, but I looked up images and it looks similar to the deathadder. G9 has huge pads but the area surrounding profile switcher button does have some minor scratches. It doesn't bother me that much though.

Razers use very small mouse feet to minimize surface contact area with the mouse pad, thereby reducing friction. Razers are designed for very quick, agile movements, while Logitech takes a more balanced approach between speed and product longevity.
The Ikari's mouse feet size dwarfs all of the other pictured models:
However, its 1cpi adjustabilty really helps me fine-tune my FPS-aim.
My bro was the one who convinced me to move to the Ikari... he used to use a G5.
