the razer diamondback came in a sleek dark smooth box along with neon glow writings around it... The mouse itself is seen through sorrounded by silver glowing box.
Inside the box you are given a mouse case, plump and small, wit three snake symbol which is printed in the front. This case is perfectly useful for protecting the mouse from scratches although not that much protection from falls. The package also comes with a driver cd which gives u the program to program the mouse, from left or right handed user to the multiple buttons you can program the mouse for such as maybe the 7th button to assigned for the "space button", or maybe the 5th button for scrolling down... You can also adjust sensitivity, speed of mouse and other nifty features from this program.
The mouse itself is equally symetric, each side having 2 side buttons for scrolling up and down... which also means you can use the mouse for both the right and left handed gamers. The mouse has a long and smooth design, which needs a bit of adjusting to get comfortable to if you are a logitcech user.. the design resembles the logitech multimedia mouse if you are fitting a description...
When plugged into the mouse lights up red on the wheels and on the sides, which has some metalic insides which looks like a -_- snake...
the chameleon color covers half of the mouse - half of it being the left and right button with the scroll in the middle. The chameleon paint, has a razer diamondback insignia printed in the middle which is quite beautiful. In dark or light lights the mouse will turn purple as stronger lights touch it, you will have a mixture of green also...
As for the performance of the mouse, for me i made some adjustments for the sensitivity (the default is medium rate, but i liked quick moving mouse) as for the speed i also increased it. As for the performance itself i think it is extremely accurate and smooth, it travels quickly where you want to go. Like the box says the mouse also has "maximum conductivity" through the gold finish in the USB end of the mouse and is in fact always on at all times.
For optimal use you can also purchase the razer pad which has two sides. One is slick (for gaming) and one is rough (for working/ designing).
Overall i would give this mouse a 9.5/10 for performance bcuz for a notebook i think this mouse operates extremely well.
