I've bought this mice today but I couldn't use or update the firmware because my computer can't detect it. Where's Mastershroom? :D

You mean he sold you on the idea of purchasing an overpriced Razer product and isn't around to help you troubleshoot it? Figures. ;)

Anyway, given the information you've provided, you haven't specified if you've installed the drivers for this mouse yet. I'd also look to see if the batteries in the mouse are charged, and/or the cable is connected to your laptop. Basically, ensure the mouse is getting power.

You might want to try inserting the USB cable into a different port on your laptop and rebooting and see if that works. Also, do you have any other wireless devices that could cause interference? Other than that, short of reinstalling the drivers for the mouse, I can't help you further I'm afraid. Good luck!

Sorry, didn't realize I was the official Razer support for this forum. :p

The Lachesis is a wired mouse, so interference and batteries won't be an issue. Garetjax makes a good point about the drivers, though; make sure you have the driver software installed first. You can get the latest one from Razer's support site. I've always installed the drivers first before attempting to update firmware.

When you say your computer can't detect it, do you mean you can't even move the cursor or click at all, or is it just the firmware utility that doesn't recognize it?

Correct. For some reason, the Mamba was on my mind and Lachesis didn't register. Thanks for setting me straight!

I can move my cursor and use all the buttons but when i want to use the firmware it says that no mouse is detected, i've tried to download the driver from razersupport and tried to update the firmware but nothing works.

This happened to me too. I just updated the firmware on another machine. I think it was the firmware installer and OS didnt get along.

Keep in mind if you do a firmware flash it will clear all your macros and settings so save them first.
