I think it looks nice! I had a Logitech Ultra-X. And I love the flat design with notebook keycaps. Razer Lycosa seems to be quite flat as well. I have a Razer Lachesis which I love and this one match well in design.![]()
Have anyone purchased this one or atleast tried it out?![]()

You are a true Geek! ...hows lachesis's grip btw?...i have deathadder but i would love to try Lachesis sometime..
And FYI regarding the post ....I am planning to buy Microsoft Razer Reclusa...seems simpler & better -
Judging by a bunch of reviews I have read (some from Amazon too), the keyboards main problem is that it's backlight is not bright enough to be useful. Apparently you have to be sitting really close (not leaning back at all) in order to read them. This doesn't sound like that big a deal to me so I'm probably still going to order one.

Yeah. I currently own an old Logitech Ultra-X. It is starting to show signs of wear/abuse. It is difficult finding a k/b that is similar -- shorter travel between keys and flat/laptop scissor keys.
Lycosa seems to fit that description though. It is a bit too expensive. Anybody have any other ideas for cheaper alternatives that emulate the feel of an Ultra-X? -
I love the Lachesis! I've been using MX518 til now. I almost bought a G9 but I wanted to try something completely new. And I have not regret my decision one bit!

Labtech is a bit cheaper than Logitech
Another notebook design keyboard from Logitech -
I bought one and then returned it when I found out that it does not work with KVM's. No explanation on Razer's site, just a tech note saying that their products do not work on KVM's.
My Saitek and Logitech peripherals all work perfectly on my KVM.

ya Saitek keybooard is the best for Gamers who are not sponsored

Could anyone comment on it? I'm planning to get it soon. I wonder if it's better than the Razer Tarantula. Could anyone compare the two from hands-on experience?

I'm getting my Razer Lycosa delivered tomorrow! I'll probably post a review of the Razer Lycosa and the Lanchesis (gaming mouse) in March. I'll give you guys some first impressions tomorrow (or Saturday if I don't have the time...) and some really good pictures. I would've been getting my Lanchesis tomorrow, but I want to see some pictures of the new red version before I decide which Lachesis to get.

Alright, here's my first impressions on my new Razer Lycosa! By the way, this is being typed on a Razer Lycosa. The experience is great from the start! The keyboard itself and its' manuals are all very well packaged. Once you take the keyboard out of the box you get a feel for how thin and well made it really is. It also looks absolutely stunning in person, it's definitely the best looking keyboard I've ever seen. The keyboard doesn't work as fast on my Pentium 4 computer until I installed the drivers nor did the lighting. After I got that straightened out the keyboard has been perfect! None of the pictures currently on the web do any justice to just how nice this keyboard looks in person! I wasn't sure if I'd be a fan of the rubberized keys, but once you get your hands on them you'll realise what you've been missing if you've been using plastic. They prove to be much more comfortable than any plastic keys, which will be great for typing something long and those gaming all-nighters. Once you've had the keyboard for a minute you'll realise that the rubberized keys won't really make you make any more typos than you would on a regular keyboard, and should cause you to type faster because of the satisfying feel of the keys and also, admittedly, the satisfying way they spring up when you type. The feel of they keys and the way they respond makes me want to write up something long. This is the longest thing I've typed on my Razer Lycosa so far and I'm still amazed at the look of the keyboard and the design. My only minor downside is that the key placement is a little different from regular keyboards, but I'm sure after a short week you'll be used to it. Wow, I just want to keep typing on this thing! Another tiny fault of the keyboard is that the backlighting isn't as bright as it could be, though I'm absolutely fine with the lighting on the keyboard (it's brighter than I thought), others may wish it was a little brighter, but it looks amazing once you turn it on. The keys are a also a little louder than I'd hoped for, but that's fine, they still make less noise than my old plastic keyboard. I'm really glad I chose this over the Razer Tarantula, the Tarantula would've taken up too much desk space and includes plastic keys. I'll try to get some high quality pictures of the keyboard up for you guys tonight or tomorrow. You can tell I'm really happy with my new keyboard, can't you
? I'll post a review of the Razer Lanchesis (which I didn't get yet) mouse and this Razer Lycosa keyboard in March so I can get some gaming done on the keyboard when my new system arrives. Wow, this post is really long
!

Sounds great! I think I'm sold on it now. The brightness complaint that everyone makes is what was holding me back.

You'll be really happy with the Lycosa. The lighting will be pretty dim if you have a lot of lights, but otherwise it's a good brightness. Do you have any questions or anything about the keyboard? My only true complaint about the keyboard is that if you using the TouchPanel to turn the lighting on and off a lot of times in a row the keyboard will glitch out and you'll need to unplug and reconnect the USB connection, though that could be fixed with a firmware update and is nothing to worry about if you don't play with the backlight
.

Ohh... I read that it's hard to see the touch buttons at all if you have lights on. Is that true? Not being able to see the blue lighting during the day isn't a huge issue for me, but it'd be a drag to not be able to use the touch buttons.

The TouchPanel is impossible to see without the backlight on, with it on, even in a well-lit area, you should be able to see it fine. The TouchPanel is great, BTW. Very responsive and quick.

Awesome, thanks! Went to Best Buy tonight to pick up a cooler and external HDD, but they didn't have the Lycosa anymore
I'll just have to order from Amazon. Probably cheaper there anyway!

Thanks MICHAELSD01 for the wonderful replies about this keyboard. I'll buy it when I get back home in late april.
