Mamba is rf as the above posted stated. It's pretty awesome, but if you plan on taking it around it can be bothersome because the dock is a little big. You can also use it wired

That dock is throwing me off but for 30 bucks why complain? I have a feeling i will be using this thing wired more oft than not, because this is for a laptop - only would use wireless plugged into the tv.

    - on a side not, is the cable super long?

I just don't want to mess with it all that much, and i would feel odd using a wired mouse on my laptop, though i am sure it is not all that weird. - Will it track on most things like the newer logitechs? I am a fan of not having to use mousepads. - If the wirelss receiver were smaller i'd be sold.

At any rate i just ordered one.

I have just had bad luck with them, - I will buy one and just leave it in my laptop and it will stop working in say 2 months

Do you know of a decent one?

Other than the annoying squeaking noise it makes while scrolling, the Mamba is a great gaming mouse.

There's nothing wrong using a wired mouse with your laptop...I used a DeathAdder with mine until I got my Orochi, and even now I use it in wired mode 99% of the time.

put an internal bluetooth module into your laptop.
