Is it bluetooth or rf wireless?
I got a 100 dollar coupon and cant decide between the mamba and the orochi, orochi i would have to buy a dongle
-
RF wireless with charging dock acts as receiver.
you can see the details in razer web

Mamba is rf as the above posted stated. It's pretty awesome, but if you plan on taking it around it can be bothersome because the dock is a little big. You can also use it wired
-
That dock is throwing me off but for 30 bucks why complain? I have a feeling i will be using this thing wired more oft than not, because this is for a laptop - only would use wireless plugged into the tv.
- on a side not, is the cable super long? -
Yah its pretty damn long, I sometimes use it and its still tied with the cable tie haha
-
Bah, this has got me wanting to get the orochi and a dongle, problem is i do not trust bluetooth dongles.

how come?

I just don't want to mess with it all that much, and i would feel odd using a wired mouse on my laptop, though i am sure it is not all that weird. - Will it track on most things like the newer logitechs? I am a fan of not having to use mousepads. - If the wirelss receiver were smaller i'd be sold.
At any rate i just ordered one. -
I was referring to you dongle comment.
-
I have just had bad luck with them, - I will buy one and just leave it in my laptop and it will stop working in say 2 months
Do you know of a decent one? -
unfortunately I don't but a quick look at newegg shows this one with the best rating:

Other than the annoying squeaking noise it makes while scrolling, the Mamba is a great gaming mouse.
-
There's nothing wrong using a wired mouse with your laptop...I used a DeathAdder with mine until I got my Orochi, and even now I use it in wired mode 99% of the time.
