I just got my razer mamba today. I installed all the firmware, updated, etc. The mouse works in wired mode, but I cannot get it to work in wireless mode. It doesn't even charge when I put it on the charging dock. And in wired mode, I don't even know if its charging honestly. The green indicators on the left don't pulse. They just stand there doing nothing. And in the mamba configurator, the battery level just stays at 0. It doesn't move up even though I've kept it plugged in for a while.

I'm on a macbook running windows 7 through bootcamp. I installed the windows drivers since im on the windows part.

Do I have to keep my mouse off when using it through wired? How do I start charging it?! When I disconnect the mouse from the laptop, and I just turn it on, it gives me no indication of the mouse being on... No lights, no nothing. I'm slightly frustrated after spending 130 dollars on this mouse and it not working..

    Thanks.

I've had a Mamba for a little over a year now, and that's definitely not normal. It should charge either by being plugged in or on the dock, regardless of whether the mouse itself is on or off. It sounds to me like either your battery or mouse itself is defective. I suppose first off, you should make sure the battery is plugged in and making contact, the contacts aren't dirty, etc.

Failing that, if I were you I'd just get it exchanged for a new one. Sometimes you just get a lemon. That's what warranties are for, man.

Sigh... Whenever I get a product I always get the bad one -_-. Same thing happened with my ipod touch lol. Looks like I have to return it for a new one.

    Yeah, QC...

I have bought like 4 razer products and 3 of them were defective on arrival. Thats a 75% fail rate.

    :(

Only one I kept was the Orochi that has been pretty good after I sent it in for replacement.

Jeeze, you guys have crap luck :p

Out of my 6 Razer electronics (not counting mouse pads), only one of them has ever had any trouble, and that was several months into owning it, and was replaced under warranty.

I was really looking forward to using a gaming mouse for the first time too... Now I have to wait another 10 days to get a replacement from scan.co.uk -_-

Once you get a fully functional Mamba, you're going to enjoy the hell out of it. :)
